The Ukrainian SBU says that a third of all of the Russian air force's strategic cruise missile carrying aircraft were struck during the operation. They calculate that planes worth $7 billion were destroyed.
This is huge news. Not just for Ukraine but for NATO countries too. Putin can't easily replace what he has lost. This third of their cruise missile planes can't attack us either now.
I wouldn't be surprised if he hides these sorts of planes now, like he hides his navy, because losing another third would be catastrophic for Russia.
