Made it thru another night. Got maybe three hours of sleep. Sleeping on the sofa isn't very comfy nor conducive to sleep but it is what it has to be for now.
She is starting to get some healing going on.
I bought an ICE Machine that circulates ice water thru a hose and a wrap around her surgical area. That really helps with the swelling.
I am exhausted. I need sleep . So I am going to try to get some while she is up and wide awake.
Her sister has been a great help but needed to get home this morning to do some things there. Don't know if she will make it back today or not.. If not its okay.
Doc not only replaced the entire knee but also straightened her leg which was bowing inward. SO he got rid of that. Oh. He also shortend that leg because it was longer than the other by about 3/4 inch.
This is what "for better or for worse, in sickness and in health" means. Did ya mean it when you said your vows? Would you die for your wife so she could live?
Serious questions that rarely come into play but..... what if they do?
I have thought about a lot of things and I have to say she handled this butcher shop adventure a lot better than I would.
SO I need to go try and get a little rest.
