TOTALLY AGREE. And it is disturbing that many people don't recognize the danger. Because of the way our country and our military has been mismanaged and over-extended, the United States has never been as completely INCOMPETENT to fight a REAL war as it is, approximately, right now! Do you disagree with any of the following points? If so, I'd appreciate your reasoned correction:
We are not ready to fight a war because:
(1) We can't take care of our drug addicts and mentally ill population, so we let them sleep, and die, on the streets. Very obviously, we are not ready for war. I am sure our enemies have noticed.
(2) Our population, STARTING WITH OUR CHILDREN, are MORBIDLY OBESE, and otherwise mentally and physically ill at a level which would have horrified the WW2 generation...! The Greatest Generation, unlike our own sickly young people, were extraordinarily fit, on every level, despite -- or maybe because of -- having gone through severe deprivations in order to survive the Great Depression?
(3) We can't fix the potholes in our roads, nor anything else, because we are BANKRUPT from building military bases all over the world (the word is "overextended) to improve OTHER countries infrastructure. WE DON'T EVEN HAVE AN INDUSTRIAL BASE ANYMORE!! Our "generals" are so stupid, and corrupt, they stood by and allowed (and probably profited from) allowing our industrial base to be GIVEN to our ENEMY: COMMUNIST CHINA! How do you feel about that, rbit? Can we agree all our Generals who didn't say a word aren't fit to command anything and, obviously, know nothing about the fundamentals of strategic warfare?
(4) We are so completely overwhelmed by our "world responsibilities" as "policeman of the world" that we can't police our own steets
(5) Nor get our collective heads out of our asses long enough to figure out that THE ENEMY IS *ALREADY* OCCUPYING OUR COUNTRY, and Washington D.C.
(6) A military leadership which is too stupid -- or corrupt, as in they work FOR the enemy -- to recognize that our enemy domestic problem should be its primary focus is a military which is, actually, overun, and controlled, by CLOWNS and dumb traitors -- not "brave soldiers".
(7) A country with a 35+ TRILLION dollar government DEBT, growing debt at an exponentially increasing rate, already, IS UTTERLY UNFIT TO FIGHT A REAL WAR FOR A PROTRACTED PERIOD OF TIME. It is so bankrupt it would need to be able to borrow money from OTHER countries in order to fight a war...? How retarded is that, from a military standpoint?
(8.) A country which has imported military, para-military, and terrorists, in the tens of thousands, inimical to to its own culture and existence, is utterly unfit to fight any real war -- yet vastly more likely to HAVE to fight a real war.
(9) A country which discovers its supposed "state of the art" military equipment is utterly lacking on both bang per buck, and ability to manufacture in volume, bases is totally not militarily ready to fight a war.
(10) The whole idea of having private enterprises -- which are 100% geared toward maximizing PROFITS at maximum cost, not victory at minimum cost -- in charge of supplying weapons, has now demonstrated to be a BAD idea. Thank God we learned that from our fiasco in Ukraine -- although it was a very PROFITABLE lesson for the Ukranian oligarchs and the US oligarchs, also.
So, ribit, I am happy to say I totally agree with you!!!! The problem is that the neocons don't agree with us -- they want to continue "playing" soldier AT THEIR COMFY DESK JOBS, no matter the cost, no matter the risk, no matter if the US is already occupied by enemies.
But you and I know better! We need to make the United States fit first, from the inside out! Let's get to it! I want to see 100 pushups before breakfast, solider! ;-)
