I don't disagree with your statement that Trump has not done anything directly to cause the current reduction in inflation and food prices, but I will point out that:
1. Neither has Trump done anything economically stupid, unlike Joe Biden, to cause explosive pressures on inflation and food prices, and
2. Trump is partially the reason why the Saudis have decided to increase their production - Biden went out of his way to piss off the Saudis, but since they trust Trump and look forward to working with him, they have been influenced by Trump's calls for increased production.
As Trump works to lower the runaway costs of the federal government, eliminate a lot of the unnecessary bureaucratic regulations that hinder business in this country, ultimately reduce tariffs and trade barriers with foreign countries who are willing to be reasonable, cool down warring factions around the globe, and lower taxes on the American people, then his actions WILL directly impact inflation and food prices in a positive manner.
