If you google "earthquake tower collapse taiwan" you'll see that there WAS such a collapse, but in 2018, not 2023. It was called "The Uranus Building," and like the Thailand high rise, poor Chinese construction was blamed.

If I'd bothered to read the article instead of just going by a google result, I might have noticed that I'd googled the wrong collapse... though it had some remarkable similarities, not the least of which was that they both occurred in "Tie" countries..
