Hi Fiz!

I just got back to the board.

Interesting point about the ongoing new technologies involved with the military these days since the advent of AI and increasing development of the robots.

Were you ever in the armed forces and under fire?

I am only asking because its a whole different level of thought, instant decision making, while at the same time you are trying not to catch any of the bullets or shrapnel flying right by your ears but sometimes blowing up the man next to you.

Emotions and adrenaline play a huge part in combat.

Sure, metallic made machines may not be wounded nearly as quickly as people, but I am unsure whether they would be any better or likely worse in a real firefight against a division of enemy combatants all firing from different angles and locations trying to wipe you off the face of the earth.

Not sure about the reasoning factors of a robot under some really heavy fighting.

Its chaotic and always moving. So there are lots of variables.

I like a robot getting nailed with mortar rounds or AK 47 rounds instead of human soldiers.

I just don't know if that is practical or not.

What would you say if the soldier was a robot, with "AI" making its own decisions on who to kill, and when, and for what?

That "far off future" is no longer a philosophical question, it is here, now ... or at least within five years.

So I think you better rethink your idea of valor and patriotism....because the AI robot doesn't care, and it can probably kill a hundred of our BEST and BRAVEST soliders in a few seconds, without breaking a sweat.

Your "soldier" was always always more of an ideal than a reality -- because every human is different, and not an ideal, But, in any case, your "soldier" is going to be completely obsolete come tomorrow. Denying reality doesn't change that reality.

I'm interested in your thoughtful reply/rebuttal of my concern.
