If we were only talking about tigers, elephants and zebras, then I'd agree with you. Hunting them just to get a trophy is repugnant to me. But this greatly oversimplifies why people hunt. In my case, it's because I think it is an essential skill to have. In any long-term TEOTWAWKI scenario, a person who doesn't get meat won't make it.

BTW, I like eating deer, cows, pigs, horses, most birds, fish, goats, sheep, bison and a few things I've never tried but which reportedly taste like chicken: rabbits, snakes, iguanas, alligators. Put bear and porcupine on the list, too.

How many of these is God okay with?
