Okay, my apologies up front for being a little cranky, but look ... it's pretty F**KING simple ... AND, I am so very tired of some people who prefer to be childish incompetents waiting for someone else to not only solve their personal problems, but spoon-feed them for the rest of their miserable lives - F**K 'EM! Either step up and take at least some personal responsibility for your own life ... and if you have some limitations beyond your control, okay ... fine ... put forth some real effort and diligently do everything you can and the rest of us are willing to assist ... but otherwise, eat sh!t and die.

When you are in an unhealthy situation ...

(i.e., allowing China to economically run over us, allowing an illegal invasion of millions of foreigners - many of them known criminals, allowing - and even helping to finance - *ahem, ahem,* Obama & Biden - Iran to work towards building a nuclear weapon, threaten its neighbors, and openly fund and sponsor murderous terrorists, allowing government to become permeated through and through with corruptocrats who harass and prosecute Americans based on how they choose to excercise their First Amendment rights and steal BILLIONS OR EVEN TRILLIONS of taxpayer funds to feather their own personal nests and/or that of the Democrat Party, etc.) ...

you have to take a different direction to resolve the problem and move towards a more healthy lifestyle. Sometimes that direction may need to be a little drastic, but even if it is not, making the necessary changes ALWAYS involves some pain. A.L.W.A.Y.S. If you are overweight and need to lose a lot of excess pounds in order to live a better life - or maybe just to keep on living, period! - you will need to go through some physical and mental pain in mustering the willpower to exercise and forgo the foods and snacks that you do not want to give up but have to. So, if Trump needs to be an America-First Asshole and slap on some nasty tariffs ... or slap some heads of state ... in order to rectify some of these unhealthy world situations ... AND, in so doing, causes us some short-term, or even mid-term, pain - SO BE IT! These f**king pansies who hysterically lose their sh!t over some temporary discomfort need to grow up, already. If they can't, they can shut the hell up and go sob in a dark, remote corner. If they can't do that, then they need to do everyone (including themselves) a favor and cull themselves from society.

Re: “So, if we deport out more than 200k illegal-consumers a quarter, without government growing, are we guaranteed a recession??”
Great post! Karen thinks fending for herself is unacceptably hard, while I see it as too important to delegate. That's the fundamental difference, I think. If either of us gets our way to an extreme, it becomes a bad thing, but I'd only be exhausted while she'd be dead.

Government is inherently inefficient, so only unconfident, unproductive people (what I call "Life's Losers") want more of it. Unfortunately for those of us who live in places where decisions get made by voting, there has never been a shortage of Life's Losers. (I'll confess to a fantasy I've had where Democrats learn that the civil war they're always promoting isn't too good of an idea for people who live in clusters. A few well-placed WMDs and . . . *poof* - the war is over.)

Getting back on topic: Government is a poor solution when it comes to personal welfare. It's a cop-out for people who are bad at or unwilling to assume responsibility. I hope that Napoleon was wrong... that MOST people prize freedom, but I expect that he was right. This could be the most important of the traditional American values that has gone away.
