The majority were the complacent do-nothings who stood around with their hands in their pockets, smoking weed while the hippy-commies made them think that obscene, destructive, low-life behavior was cool... and that everything their fathers stood for and worked to create was uncool, vile and corrupt.

The hippies and commie protestors (yes, they WERE commies, directed by Russia, proven in documents left behind in East Germany after the wall fell) were HARDLY the majority of the 'boomer population' - although their whining and crying certainly received the MAJORITY of media attention.

Thus, the categorization of an entire generation the way that was done was extremely intellectually lacking.

One 'side' of that equation resides on a totally different board.

The balance (sic) resides here, unless DE wishes to claim being the 'spoiled' batch. Not raised 'dirt poor' - but my parents were - and we may have been frugal - but there was always enough on the table. For most of the world, that means my background is one of wealth.
