Thanks. Aside from vegetables, meals tend to be • bean burritos (nonfat tortillas, refried beans, low fat sour cream, hot sauce), • condensed mushroom soup with evaporated milk, • tunafish sandwiches (tuna, keto bread, relish, low fat cottage cheese instead of mayonnaise). I thought I'd be eating a lot of oatmeal but stopped when micro pointed out that they're high in carbs.

My wife made salmon and baked brussels sprouts in honey-garlic sauce tonight... delicious.

Speaking of "pulses," we bought some canned black beans a while back, but I'm not sure where they went. That actually sounds pretty good.

Good for you! Sweet potatos are actually really good for you. It isn't most an issue of carbs, it is mostly an issue of JUNK carbs -- specifically carbs without a lot of fiber to dramatically slow down absorption.

Another great food to eat, which also has carbs, is "pulses": dried beans of various types. Super high in nutrion and even commplete proteins. Super cheap to buy and they will store for years if you keep them dry (so one of my favorite survival foods since I actually like eating them when cooked).
