Micro: I don't know so much about all of Trump's support staff that I feel super absolute about who is actually on his side and who isn't. I know he took a lot more care, this time around, to pick carefully. But I also know that he needed to make a lot of decisive picks, way earlier this time, to hit the ground running on Jan 20. Part of that "hitting the ground running" was because there was a lot to do. But most of it, I have to assume, was to "shock and awe" the enemy WHICH CONTROLLED MOST OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT.
So, this is one of those situations where we (Trump) needs to be cut off any organ which MIGHT be carrying "turbo cancer" of the enemy.
The NeoCons were at the heart of a good portion of what disabled Trump in his first term. To let ANY of them infiltrate his 2nd administration, by being too trusting or forgiving was not a chance he could afford to make again.
So, this is a case where the "conservative" thing to do, the right thing to do, is to cut anyone in doubt. And Walz was in doubt even before he got appointed. Now the doubt is many times greater.
One thing which is driving me to *maybe* speak out too aggressively is that I believe I have a good "sense" of things sometimes. Maybe you and De have that, also.
My sense was WRONG when I concluded there was simply no hope for the United States. I confess, I over-rated the corruption in the system an I was too pessimistic about the state of understanding and the determination of the majority of Americans.
And I am sure I understated the power of prayer.
But "faith without works is dead" http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James%202:14-26&version=NKJV
James 2:14-26
New King James Version
Faith Without Works Is Dead
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21
I am convinced, beyond any doubt, that the United States Constitution, and the sovereignty of its citizens, has been under patient, active attack for decades, if not longer.
It bothers me very much that, even now, we haven't gotten to the bottom of it. And, I thimk, the bottom is a lot deeper than simply "the deep state" which has infested the US government.
So, yeah, it bothers me a lot, maybe too much in some peoples' view, when certain people want to keep us doing WHAT THE DEEP STATE FAVORED DOING before the miracle of Trump stepped in.
I remember asking someone, years ago, why -- given that he clearly loathed everything having to do with Briben and his team -- he was 100% on board with what Briben and his team wanted the United States government to do: Rush out of Afghanistan so we could join a war in Ukraine. Oh, AFTER already wide-opening the Southern border of the United State.
His reply? (Maybe someone can find it in the archives and link it, in case I a misremembering?):
"Good point. I'll have to think about that."
We got a milennium's worth of legitimate miracles for Trump to get this far. But the United States, and the planet, isn't anywhere near safe until we find and deal with the real enemy, defeat the enemy, fix the economy, heal our profoundly sick (mentally, physically, AND spiritually ill) citizens, and get our culture restored. There is so much work to do HERE, that it is very easy to get confused or discouraged.
We have ZERO money, time, or energy to waste on pursuing "the USSR Commmunists" -- THIRTY YEARS afer the USSR collapsed, Russia completely renounced both Communism AND atheism -- *WHILE* the real, proximate enemy is in our "house", and absolutely isn't Russian.
I confess, I get a bit riled up about the inability of many people to recognize that "Men desire to change their circumstances, but are unwilling to change themselves. They, therefore, remain bound."
