Not imperceptible. I immediately picked up on the fact that you sound like Tom Bodett (of Motel 6 fame. "We'll keep the light on for you"). Tom was born in Champaign and raised in Sturgis. Each is just 250 miles from Cincinnati. Of course, I don't know where YOU were born and raised... but I think you have the same "nasally twang" as Tom.

Or you might have just had a cold.

Not quite Sir Wizard,

People in this region have a tiny bit of nasally twang that is almost imperceptible but nonetheless is there.

We do not have the Kaintucky or states south southern accent nor the famous Texas drawl. My first cousins live in Texas. Some in Big D and one just outside of Houston. That one's a big time corporate attorney for a fortune 500 company. (I wuz standing behind the door when the brains in this family were distributed.)

Phil's a remarkably nice pleasant person and no one would suspect him of being as bright as he is. He's humble and quiet. Like his mother and father.

As far as accent's go, People in this area are said to have a Cincinnati nasally accent.
No one has ever told me that I sound like that but that may be more out of politeness than actuality.

I like the Texican accent. I had clients there in Waco and Laredo when I owned my factories and they sounded very similar to my relatives who live there.
