I suspect Russia is in a lot worse shape than most realize.
Under Trump the price of oil had dropped - slowing the means for Russia to prepare for and prosecute a Ukrainian invasion. Biden 'declared war' on the use of fossil fuels - providing Putin with a bonanza in oil sales revenues.
Biden did NOT want Ukraine hammering Russia's oil infrastructures - probably because Biden did not want the price of oil skyrocketing, sending gasoline prices skyrocketing and hurting his 'political future' . . . Thereby keeping Russia in the Ukrainian war game. What biden / zelensky SHOULD have done was hammer Russia's oil infrastructure reducing Russia's ability to sell oil and destroying Russia's ability to move troops and ammo into Ukraine.
Russia is reduced to 'buying' N.Korean troops and ammunition. Russia's work force has been decimated via casualties in Ukraine. Russia's 'armored vehicles' and tanks are now early Cold War leftovers. It is also possible that Russia's infrastructure and economy are teetering on the brink of collapse . . .
I think Trump needs to give Zelensky the same sort of long range weaponry Russia has been using on Ukraine. And tell him to go ahead and destroy more of Russia's oil infrastructure and maybe knock apart a few bridges on the trans siberian railway.
I do NOT want to reward putin with a 'prize' of Ukrainian real estate. I do want putin forced to cough up what he stole in 2014.
