Good morning Zim!

"what do you know" ?

As much as the rest of us do. Nobody here is a military genius or General. Me an ribs is peons 2nd class.

I find it interesting to read the various and differing perspectives of everyone here even if I do nothappen to t hink that way.
One only learns by reading or listening to things they had not before. I want to be and continue to be a life long learner. Its why I read vast majority of History books and the all our nation's wars.

Even the Generals don't always agree with strategies when fighting a war. So, all opinions are welcome as nobody here is an expert if there can even be one. And I don't think its possible.. We are Monday morning QB's.

So keep on writing as your posts are always worth reading and contain good materials. Liking and disliking is all in the eyes and minds of the reader no matter who writes what..

THAT is the essence of a GREAT Discussion Board.. Varying opinions from various people with various experiences and mindsets..

I really enjoy everyone here.... Thumbs Up

Zelensky is kind of like the President - he is not supposed to be the 'military genius'. . . He is supposed to find and promote the military geniuses.

I suspect Zelensky was trying to do what senile dog turd biden told him to do . . . BIG Mistake.

If memory serves me correctly, summer 2024 Ukraine tried a 'summer offensive' against the Russians. Basically frontal assaults on well prepared Russian defensive positions . . . And the Ukrainians had their butts handed to them.

What I think Ukraine should have done . . what I suspect a Patton or a MacArthur might have done . . Was to take their armored columns. Send them into the Kursk region of Russia (Where they have had demonstrable success) . . Make a big loop around seizing thousands of square kilometers of Russian territory then Re-enter Ukraine BEHIND the Russian troops and just roll them up.

But what do I know.
