Re: “Walked 3-5 miles a day.”
That's pretty extreme. Safe to say, I'm not going to do that. I injured my knee in January. I'm going for an MRI next week... and maybe a cortizone shot when I see the orthopedist. The annoying thing is that it's finally improving and I'm feeling funny about getting the MRI when it might be returning to normal on its own. But it's still stiff, popping and sometimes hyperextending. I think I want the doctor's advice.

I weighed 225 four years ago. Went on a low carb diet.
No sugar
No potatoes
No bread
No pasta
No wheat

Tried to keep my carb. To less than 50 a day.
Over the period of about a year I lost 45 pounds. Walked 3-5 miles a day.
225 to 180.
I now cheat a lot on the carbs and have gained 15 - 20 pounds back. I go up and down 5 pounds in a couple weeks.
Still don’t use sugar
Still don’t eat any bread
No potatoes
Sometimes pasta.

Try getting some Monk fruit sugar replacement. Looks just like sugar almost taste the same.

I also fast from 6:00 pm until 12:00 noon
Eat a lot of fish and meat and eggs.
Read up on Keto diet and low carbs and glucose and Ketones.
Lots on UTube.
