Ah, but I never said that I do not take the Scriptures literally. I do not literally know everything that transpired, and neither do you - we weren't there. That is where faith comes into play.

I am not the one who treats it as a technical manual. I have said many times that it is a book of parables that cannot be taken literally. Those who claim to take it literally are not reading it critically because the Old Testament contains technical flaws that you could steer an ark through. I see that you agree, though you aren't saying it very clearly.

I'm no Bible reader. I've probably read less of the New Testament than the Old... But the Old Testament is a mess that prevents me from giving the New a go. (And that's something since I've read the Koran.. or Qur'an or Quran. But I had a reason to read it and I was VERY critical.)
