What a prat. Which weapons will people use? Table knives? WE. DON'T. HAVE. GUNS. HERE.

Rather than planning an insurrection, most everyone was watching Keely Hodkinson win the women's 800m last night. Boy was she dominant. It's a rare thing when a British athlete wins so easily. Usually we are gnawing fingernails.

About a million miles from a civil war. We are a country with a sense of unity that flows through a constitutional monarchy. That comfortable arrangement tends to pacify the unruly people in our society.

Musk's probably talking about the riots which followed the murder of three little girls. They revealed tensions over mass immigration, which most folks don't want when it's illegal and productive of crime, or when it's on an excessive scale or when it seems to introduce cultures that seem unwilling to mix in. I doubt the riots will be anything more than a temporary thing. And then I'm hopeful that, on a sensible scale, the magical work of cultural synthesis will gradually occur and we'll be better for it.

But then I'm not the bloviating boss of a giant social media company assuming the whole world is like America, so what do I know?
