Also, I am not so much offended on Harris' behalf because an old weirdo has just lied about how she represents herself. He has no power to bother me. I just think he's on the slippery slope from narcissism to dementia. Sad old sociopath.
It's more that Trump has just made himself even more toxic to normal people. Another slice of the electorate will say, even though I am holding my nose, I smell the stinking crap. Get me outta here.
It's surely over with his efforts to win over more than a tiny slice of African Americans.
At the same time, I doubt it will affect his base. They love the smell of hatred that issues from Trump's toilet mouth. Thinking they have offended "the Libs" makes them feel excited. It's how they identify. These aren't people with constructive ideas which they are attempting to promote.
