The left is already talking about a wealth tax and other "egalitarian" proposals.

That never ends well. The wealth (and the wealthy) quickly disappears.

Raising tax on high incomes works slightly better, but again, if taxes are already high, it produces diminishing returns.

So weird to be moving towards the 1970s again. In the UK, those policies were disastrous.

The choice there is between plague and cholera, as someone said.

France needs better choices.
