As long as I didn't feel pain I'd prefer to be awake.

Once when I had surgery they didn't have me out enough, I could hear them in slow motion, I felt like I was buried alive. I didn't feel anything but it was terrifying!

I was told it happens.
But now I warn them & haven't had that problem.

Do something positive.

The old surgical method was a bottle of whisky, a stick between your teeth, and four men holding you down.

I think I'd pass out if I was awake and knew someone was cutting me open. But it sounds great so long as it isn't me!
