It has to work that way because Russia is attacking Ukraine from inside Russia.

If you want to define a limit, have it be 100 miles inside Russia. Let the Ukrainians take out nearby airfields and missile launch positions.

This is just like the tanks, the ATACMS and the F-16s. The US comes in late to avoid the appearance that it wants a war with Russia.

But really, we are at war by proxy with Russia and Iran.
