As you point out, the most precise way to get Israel to be as humane as possible is to protest against Netanyahu, as many Israelis are. Protesting for Gaza is fraught with the risk of seeming to be pro-Hamas.

Hamas is still evil, has not surrendered, holds many hostages and hasn't surrendered in order to safeguard their own people.

So it continues.

My own sense, which isn't informed in any great detail, is that Israel is not being nearly as callous as it has been. Nor do I know hw many deaths are fighters and how many are civilians.

Iexpec there are secret talks going on somewhere, so that is where things will be concluded. Protests will make little difference.

The protesters have the luxury of not worrying of being drafted into a war.

Their arguments are a luxury.

Their message(s) are muddled.

They do not have the right to make other students fearful, especially the Jewish students.

Just because they are Jewish doesn't mean they support the way Bibi is mishandling the war.
Just look at how many Israelis' protested this weekend in Israel.

If they hope for support, they need to be clear that their concern is the way the Palestinian's are being killed & starved.
