Certainly liable, as the jury believed her story, not his. Preponderance of the evidence.
But you can meet someone [fact] and have no memory of it decades later [also a fact].
ps I don't believe anything he says. But he seems like the sort of guy who would do such a thing and might not remember it because he has no shame and his personality is sharklike: he moves forwards not backwards. Indeed, he bragged about grabbing women by the pussy, so he obviously did it frequently.
