"Liz Truss has called on her successor Rishi Sunak to back legislation to ban biological males from entering female-only spaces or competing in women’s sport, and preventing children from attempting to change their gender."
I understand this response, although I wish it didn't require legislation, which is a blunt tool.
Trans activists are forcing the issue in a way that results in such responses. For instance, they keep trying to get JKL Rowling arrested for holding her views about the definition of a woman, saying it is hate speech.
Consequently, for self-protection purposes, people respond by saying, thus far but no further. Trans people are not the only folks with interests and sensitivities.
I do so dislike single issue fanatics. And trans activists are the very definition of it. If only they would allow the notion that they are entering complex territory. But they only ever promote their own wants.
