That sounds like a sensible description of what happened.

She was careless and her carelessness cost a person their life.

I don't see Alec Baldwin as to blame. Unwittingly, he had a pistol loaded with real bullets. The person who put them there was the armorer, who knew or ought to have known they were real. It was her job to know. It was not his, even though he must have pulled the trigger.
