BREAKING: Widespread outage hits Facebook and Instagram
Facebook, Instagram and other Meta platforms have suffered a significant outage. The outage spans multiple countries and is related to how users log in, said Netblocks, an organization that monitors internet traffic, and it appeared that many Facebook users had been logged out of their accounts.
Some of those services, especially Facebook, are used by major political campaigns, and the outages may prevent them from engaging with constituents on Super Tuesday, when five states vote in primary elections for Senate, House, governor and local offices.
