It may be their tactic to make the trial seem to be about how unfair everything is for Trump rather than about the fact that he raped E Jean Carroll, then defamed her, then defamed her again repeatedly after the previous court ruled that he had defamed her.

Trump's really a one trick pony. It's all about portraying himself as a victim to manipulate people into doing his bidding. Even in a case involving his rape and defamation.

It seems to work for him in politics. It hasn't worked so well in a courtroom. I'd guess he will lose big in the way Giuliani did. The jury will think, if $5m wasn't enough to shut him up, let's move up an order of magnitude or two.

Poor old Habba seems not to be appearing as an attorney but auditioning for the role of Trump's next wife. She's a clueless and insolent attorney. But she has something of Melania's hairstyle and look.

He is proving to the jury he has NO self-control.

BREAKING: Judge threatens to boot Trump from defamation trial after he loudly fumes at E. Jean Carroll’s testimony

Judge Lewis Kaplan threatened to bar former President Donald Trump from court during the defamation trial of E. Jean Carroll.

Trump loudly fumed during Carroll’s testimony, muttering to his defense attorney at a volume opposing lawyers said jurors could hear. “Mr. Trump has the right to be present here. That right can be forfeited, and it can be forfeited if he is disruptive and if he disregards court orders, the judge said.
