At most, he may have "leant" members of his posse to a small number of wealthy friends, whom he attempted to embroil in his web of exortion using the vehicle of a massage. The massage he hoped would lead to something more, an arousal which he could use for blackmail purposes.

This isn't so much a network of wealthy paedophiles as Epstein's cunning extortion racket.

But to be known to Epstein merely made a person possibly a target of his scheme, not necessarily a person who took the bait. And even a person who took the bait was more another sort of victim than a conspirator in the scheme.

No wonder he got on so well with Trump. Birds of a feather.

It begins to sound like the hypothesis that Epstein had a vast circle of rich friends participating in lewd behaviour with minors was more-or-less a fantasy.

He was a bad seed and found personal gratification in paying young women to perform sexual acts on himself. Otherwise, where's the beef?
