These warm waters are dangerous, especially in the west coast, not so much east. But still if I have a wound of any kind that has not healed, I won’t go in. Late Oct and later is fine until July for the east coast, which has not had any such problems at any point, but being careful is good practice. The water in the Gulf in Florida is terrible in the summer. Bad choice for a vacation. I can’t believe I have eaten a bunch of oysters in summer from Texas, etc.
