Ya can't fix that geezerhood, they live in their cocoons, oblivious to the real world, the shame is they may affect younger family members that might have a chance to see the world as it is, nit inside that cocoon...
My rather ancient '06 F150 has had a few upgrades, LED headlight assemblies, almost all other bulbs flipped to LEDs, and a few years ago, I dumped the OEM tape/CD/AM/FM/Sirius for a new Alpine setup, Carplay and all the goodies... Had to add a new Sirius receiver as the old one was OEM, but its up to speed, just a bit distracting to flip channels.. I could, but haven't added cameras, use a portable when hooking up the trailer, just have to remember to charge it before I need it..
New SUV on the menu, gifting a civic to a grandkid, adding a Toy RAV4 Hybrid, as soon as we find the right color combo...
Some of us lived in a techy world, some never made the transition, many old wworkmates, good people, but we've lost touch when they retired, resisted the scary web... Kinda sad, as scattered as we are...
