There are many ways to get caught catching it. Sometimes I even think back and say what did I do then, and I know it was not a good moment. It is hard to stay on the "program". Shit happens, but you gotta at least make sure it is not often or obvious failure, and not left wondering....

And that was why we went for it a month ago, prior to nephew's wedding, maybe 120+ people, but mainly outdoors, eventually into a huge barn venue, normal table setups, but no one else at our table caught it, a few on the brides side did, but we hadn't interacted, and the timing for us fit an earlier BBQ with grandkids, now everyone but my wife is clear..

Inlaws have picked it up on flights from Hawaii, Mexico, Houston, earlier in the year, but all recovered OK.. Keeps us all on our toes, tho... And everyone had all the boosters, a sneaky bug... At least no longer fatal as the early versions...
