I am in Athens these days and the constant has been the weather: storms in the afternoon as if we are in a subtropical environment in summer, like in Florida. It is unheard of for Athens weather. Athenians rarely saw rain from June to late in September. Sunny skies and dry weather is Athens, or so we always thought. Last time I was here before Covid we had some terrible storms in July! The only other time I remember a storm here was when I was about 23 and it rained hard for an hour or so in June, and the reason I remember it is because it was so unusual.

Shit is happening, and we can’t be distracted by the usual assholes.

Today’s supposed to be rainy, with constant afternoon rain, and unheard of thing this time of year. Supposed to be “normal” come Monday for the week. We’ll ….see.

South Florida btw has just experienced heat index of 107 degrees or more on Friday, and this weekend is supposed to be a scorcher. That doesn’t happen there ANYTIME. The month of June has been like the month of August, heat, humidity, bad storms, lightning, shit every day.
