Knowing and having read on the law of self defense, this geezer should have been charged right there and then. He had no reason to shoot, shoot a kid, at his front door.

Self Defense is not a cut and dry issue. Gun law lawyers will tell you that all the time. That’s why they advise to never talk to police even if you shoot an intruder inside your own house.
“Self Defense” means in “imminent sense of harm coming to you”. What harm did this idiot perceive?
I think he should be made an example by losing his home in a civil suit that will come one way or another. It’s the only way for idiots to wake up about shooting without cause. Furthermore, the only way he can get away from criminal charges is the Kansas city “authorities” looking the other way., amd THAT would be a racial situation……with all kinds of shit happening afterwards.
