BREAKING: Drugmaker asks Supreme Court to block abortion pill ruling
A manufacturer of the abortion drug mifepristone asked the Supreme Court on Friday to block a lower court decision that prevents pregnant women from obtaining the drug by mail. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals this week suspended the FDA’s original approval of the drug, which would have made its distribution unlawful. But the appeals court left a prohibition on obtaining the drug by mail in place, which the drugmaker is contesting.
