I just read that we are now also training Ukrainian pilots. Thank goodness they are doin that ahead of any decision to supply jets, instead of waiting until a decision is made about equipping their air force.
I think we will have a strong relationship for decades with Ukraine. Who'd have guessed? I think we saw them as playing a role much like ours after Dunkirk at the beginning of World War II, a famous cartoon embraced our position at the time: "Very well then. Alone." But they have topped us. We at least had the Channel to protect us. They are smashing Russia with only a sea of mud as a defence.
