I understand the training, repair, maintenance, logistics and fuel required for battle tanks is a heavy burden.
It's my hope that training about each of these has been happening in secret. And maybe recently retired NATO tank personnel with experience across the different skills required will volunteer to help get things going in Ukraine. Otherwise it may be months before they are in play.
I'm guessing my 100 minimum number of tanks is where things will start. But that number could go up from there once Ukrainian personnel have mastered the new types of tank.
The more there are, the quicker the war will end.
According to some, they still need air support, although I guess the missiles the Ukrainians already have should provide some protection.
