Ah, but the REAL reason the Democrats HATE the $10,000 cap on the itemized deduction for taxes is because it painfully highlights how much the high-tax states are brutally raping their residents. And guess what? Most, if not all, of the high-tax states are run by Democrats ... but, of course, you already know that ... and so does everyone else. The federal Democrats want the federal government to help subsidize the onerous taxes imposed by state Democrats so as to help reduce the backlash against their state comrades. With the cap in place, the high level of theft by the confiscatory policies of these Democrat-run states is more exposed. Heck, you even have some bitching by highly paid athletes making the news, these days. Some of the players have even gone so far as to reject trades to some teams because of the high taxes of the states where they are located.
