Now if only I knew where to look.

See if this link helps:

Good luck.

The night sky is pretty bright here but I might get my binoculars out to try to see it.

My friend in California got up early Monday and imaged Comet 2022 E3 ZTF from his back yard in suburbia. He has a first rate amature's telescope (several thousand dollars) but he says the comet visible with binoculars, too.

Note that the comet is elongated. That's because the scope tracked the movement of the stars for a full two minutes. The comet moves differently than stars and is, therefore, stretched.

I heard a while ago that 2022 E3 ZTF will never return. It is swinging around the sun but isn't in orbit. After this pass, it will leave the solar system.

Now if only I knew where to look. If my friend can see it with binoculars, I should be able to easily. The stars here are wonderful when the clouds aren't in the way.
