I am confident our driveway PALES in comparison but am grateful for 1 Linebacker power and a wide snow shovel.

He cleared five inches of heavy snow in about ten minutes. Dug out our vehicles which were NOT in the garage.. DUH.....

Grateful for grandkids that love their grandparents. They are special.

I am leaving in a couple hours on a two day trip and five clients, two brand new. Kinda excitingto get back out and see people I know and solve some real world problems and counsel on equipment that some need to bring their performance and production up to speed..

I love educating people who need help and aren;t afraid to ask.

I feel good about sharing some of life's past experiences and help them avoid pitfalls. Its a good feeling..

Looking forward to meeting this one person this afternoon around 1:00 p.m. It should be a great time.

After that, on to Cleveland where I have multiple meeting tomorrow beginning early in the morning.. Hope to be home by 10:00 p.m .

This will be a test of stamina for me. Granted that driving isn;t the most stressful thing I can do but it can kill you and others if you take your mind off of what you are doing.

So, I will check in whenever I get to the hotel room and have eaten..

The forecast changed from five-to-eight inches to six-to-ten inches. That's not very precise, but it spans a big area: "Portions of south central and southwest Maine. Portions of central, northern, and southern New Hampshire"

It started to lightly snow at 6:30 p.m. and it's 11:30 p.m. now. It's 28° so I'm not going to go out to measure it, but I can eyeball the snow on my patio table and tell it's about 4". That's like a third of an inch of rain in 5 hours - quite a bit, with another 22 hours remaining! I'll measure it in the morning when I go out to shovel the deck, but I think before it's over we'll be closer to ten inches than six. I doubt it's the soggy, wet stuff micro bemoaned... it's too cold for that. Hopefully I'll find that it's the light powder that skiers and those of us forced to shovel have an appreciation for.

My blower specs claim it can shoot snow 40 feet. The snow a few days ago was so soggy that what came out of the blower looked more like water from a hose, only going about ten feet. Since my driveway is wide, ten feet sometimes won't even clear it, making a big job even bigger.

So far, I'd guess that this storm will be easier than the last - simply because it's colder.

This remains the warmest winter we've had since we've been here. Global warming, ya know.
