Yep. I'll add hypocrites to my description.
They didn't want privacy. They've done nothing but expose themselves for money. They are much more like strippers than hermits. And they've treated their family's privacy as saleable too.
I dislike her in an ordinary way (vanity, self-righteous, destructive of family etc) and as a catalyst, but he's the one whose nastiness matters to us. He seems maybe a little mentally ill because he's utterly without understanding of other people's perspectives. Much of what he says is what he perceives people think, not what they actually do. And he's rubbish at it. It may he's just dumb and malicious, though.
If I was Charles and William, I wouldn't trust him ever again.
