They complain about the size of the cottage they shared in Kensington Palace. Let us set aside for the moment the fact that they are forgetting that they had the benefit of a home rent free in Central London. A pretty nice pad, if you ask me.
But let's focus on this. Meghan says its ceilings were so low Harry hit his head and Harry assumes its previous tenants must have been very short. He can't remember who the previous tenants were.
Oops. There's the egregious lie. The previous tenant was his brother, William, and his wife, Kate, with their son George. He knew very well they lived there. They did so for several years. He would have visited them there on many occasions.
So why did he pretend he didn't know who lived there?
The complaint doesn't work well when you know the previous tenant was his taller brother and his tall wife, does it? So he "forgot" his brother lived there in order to make his and Meghan's complaint seem meaningful. Poor Harry. Poor Meghan. Living in a doll's house and not a palace. How mean of the royal family to treat them sooooo badly.
And then there's the contrast between the moaning, entitled Sussexes and the non-moaning, grateful Cambridges, who might, just might, be aware of the enormous privileges they benefit from. And that this cottage they lived in free of charge was a benefit not a punishment.
This isn't, on its own, an important issue. But Harry and Meghan, two serial liars, are trying to damage our monarchy via innuendo and recollections that, on inspection, never hold up, but always make the poor Sussexes appear to be unfairly downtrodden.
I do hope the US tv networks figure it out and stop paying money for bad actors to damage a fine family who do a lot of good, not least with respect to issues of race and this country's former colonies. They happen to do it all quietly and without seeking credit.
So very unlike the dishonest, greedy, victim-claiming virtue signallers in Montecito.
