Twitter suspends several journalists who cover Elon Musk and his recent takeover of the platform
Twitter suspended several high-profile journalists Thursday evening who have been covering the company and its owner, Elon Musk. The suspensions included accounts of tech journalists for The New York Times, CNN, The Washington Post and Mashable, as well as independent journalists Aaron Rupar, Keith Olbermann and Tony Webster. Some messages indicated the accounts were “permanently suspended.”
Musk, in tweets, indicated that the suspensions were related to the platform’s new rules banning private jet trackers. On Wednesday, Twitter suspended an account that tweeted the location of Musk’s plane, which he said endangers his personal safety.
