There was certainly a racial component involved, which is astonishing and disappointing. But I hear something else as well. Class condescension. You look like you don't belong.
I do hope I'm wrong. But that dreadful sneering upper class thing does still exist, where people of that ilk marginalise people who aren't from the same background. I'm not even sure they know they do it. I do hope it will be addressed because it is beyond impolite and more in the category of utterly repellant and it doesn't belong in the vicinity of our royal family.
