This will surely end up with some case or another in SCOTUS, which may say the decision belongs to the states.
I don't know how to intepret the law on this. From a moral perspective, I don't see any reason to do anything but wish same sex couples future happiness. Doubtless there are religious objections from a fundamentalist perspective, but not being a fundamentalist myself, I don't give a hoot about them. Some will argue about tax privileges and whether they were intended to confer benefits to same sex couples. There are doubtless other perspectives to consider but I don't have them handy at this moment.
