On an utterly, entirely and completely unrelated matter, Russia is trying to persuade Belarus to join it by invading Ukraine from the north.
The death of its foreign minister for no obvious reason is, of course, a total coincidence and not an example of Russia trying to coerce Belarus into action. And anyone who suggests otherwise is not credible in exactly the same way as those who claim there is a pattern of sky-diving from windows and balconies of those Russian oligarchs seeming to operate in a way of which Putin disapproved.
In further unrelated news, the Ukrainian Main Military Intelligence Directorate claimed a few days ago that Russia was planning to conduct false flag operations in Belarus in order to drag them into the war. No one, of course, supposes Russia will blame Ukraine for the death of Vladimir Makei.
