His actual customers, the advertisers, will be running for the exits as fast as the employees.

From the wreckage, my guess is twitter will become a software platform licensor and advertising mediator, passing the community-running risk to licensees. It's more boring and reduces the opportunity but also reduces the risks of managing large social media communities with their diverse and divisive opinions. Entrepreneurs can probably run smaller social media populations better and more flexibly than twitter can, working out new ways to derive an income from their users.

From today's news reports, it's looking like twitter is falling apart with mass employee resignations and refusals to sign the new contract happening across the board.

For a brainy guy, Musk doesn't think much.

Hate to think how he will rule Mars when he gets there.
