Jeepers. I feel like a pigeon watching Wimbledon. Now the government claims the mantle of compassionate conservatism. More the US equivalent of Dubya's position than Paul Ryan's, in theory at least.
Does anyone know what Truss wants any more?
I hoped she'd mostly do continuity before an election. I got the impression that most people wanted more of what Boris was doing but without the drama. So not much change.
But she's swung one way and then the other, alienating her foes and her fans in turn.
I don't think she's turning out to be a skillful politician. It looks like she climbed to the top of the ladder before she was ready and could have used more experience.
