The mass missile launch yesterday was something of a Putin bluff. The Russians have set aside some reserves for a war with NATO - probably some of their best kit. They used part of this yesterday in an attempt to suggest there is a vast unused stockpile available for use in Ukraine.
But actually, for Ukraine war purposes, they are running out. Hence, we keep hearing about the rubbish equipment they are supplying their army with. All Ukraine needs to do is to keep on. Putin will only use his NATO-related reserves in small quantities in Ukraine and only when he's desperate.
My opinion: Russian forces in Ukraine will implode this winter, and may do so surprisingly quickly once Kherson is taken. That's where their best troops are.
Also see this assessment from the head of GCHQ: “We know – and Russian commanders on the ground know – that their supplies and munitions are running out.”
