Patriot Mobile created a political action committee and gave it more than $600,000 to spend on nonpartisan school board races in Fort Worth, Texas suburbs. Nearly four months later, their candidates have won every race, and those school boards have begun to deliver results.
One school district's board of trustees voted to implement new policies restricting how teachers can discuss race and gender and limited the rights of transgender and non-binary students. "They bought four school boards, and now they're pulling the strings," one mother said.
