It's all about what they have found.
Trump will be strengthened if there's nothing significant. Pictures, communications with family etc.
If it's nuclear secrets, as WaPo reports, he'll claim they were planted, of course. But I think that crosses the line for any reasonable person and he'll go to jail. Even if they don't find anything of that sort, it is right to search if they believe he has had them. But who knows if he still has? If they were for sale, as some allege, they'll have been sold by now, surely.
